Club Dover Gateway Bowls

Thank you for your interest in our club, we hope you find us welcoming if you choose to join us. We are always looking for new members, young and old (experience not necessary) to join us at our very friendly club based in Whitfield. We have a lovely bowls green with its own pavilion building, backed up by our main sports & social club which has many additional attractions for the bowls members to enjoy.

Whilst our green is a comparatively new one (2010 will be our 4th season), it is getting better and better every year and the small band of helpers continues to aim at making it one of the best in Kent. If you are interested in joining, or just want a chat before committing yourself, please contact David Langley the treasurer on Dover (01304) 824710.

During the season you will find noticeboards in the social club and at the pavilion which confirm the upcoming fixtures and event days to enable members to put down their names for selection to play in games. We run a '100 club' to raise funds to keep improving the club facilities and have a monthly draw and an annual draw with over £1500 in prize money.

On Tuesday evenings in the bowls season, all are welcome to attend for a free instruction session.

Please note that membership of Club Dover (DHB Sports & Social Club) is a pre-requisite to becoming a member of the Gateway Bowls club.
